History

Founded in 2000, Council Capital has approximately $150 million of capital under management and is actively investing out of its second fund, which was raised in 2008. The success of the initial fund, which is ranked in the top quartile in its vintage year by Private Equity Intelligence, is a credit to the deep expertise and extensive capabilities the partners and CEO Council members possess as healthcare investors and operators.

Before forming Council, the four general partners collectively had:

served as CEO/president of six companies
created over $7 billion in realized shareholder value in their executive roles
founded a $1 billion money management firm with a primary focus in healthcare
