As a private equity management firm, Council Capital’s main focus is making growth and early-growth investments in healthcare companies that demonstrate innovation in improving the quality and delivery of care while reducing costs. Our portfolio companies range from a software-as-a-service revenue cycle management healthcare IT company, to a technology-enabled institutional pharmacy company and a telemedicine services network.

A second part of the firm’s investment involvement is participation in TNInvestco, the economic development program created in 2009 by the State of Tennessee to spur the growth of high potential Tennessee companies. We partnered with Enhanced Capital Partners to create the Council & Enhanced Tennessee Fund. The Tennessee Fund takes a generalist approach to investing and is looking for fast-growing Tennessee-based businesses, but gives preference to companies that serve the healthcare industry to complement our primary healthcare focus in our other funds.
