Richard E. Thornburgh

Dick is Vice Chairman of Corsair Capital LLC (“Corsair”), a private equity investment company with over $1 billion in committed capital that invests in financial services companies worldwide, including banks, insurers, asset managers and specialty lenders. Dick is currently a member of the Board of Directors and the Risk Committee of Credit Suisse Group (NYSE: CS) and chairs the Risk Committee and serves on the Board of NewStar Financial, Inc. Prior to joining Corsair in 2006, he was Executive Vice Chairman of Credit Suisse First Boston (“CSFB”), now operating under the name of Credit Suisse. Dick has over 30 years of experience in the global investment banking and financial services sector and held a number of senior leadership positions as Credit Suisse Group, including CFO of Credit Suisse. He is a former member of the Financial Services Roundtable and the International Institute of Finance. Dick served on the Executive Committee of the Securities Industry Association (“SIA”) for six years and was Chairman of the SIA in 2004. He holds a BBA, cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
