Aubrey B. Harwell, Jr.
Aubrey is co-founder and Managing Partner of Neal & Harwell, a nationally known law firm based in Nashville. A great deal of his work involves crisis management for numerous corporations. Major clients include Pfizer, the NFL, TVA and Bridgestone. He serves as counsel to former San Francisco 49’ers owner Edward J. DeBartolo, Jr.
He is a longtime investor in venture-backed early stage companies and venture capital funds. He was an early investor in HRJ Capital, a venture capital fund based in Silicon Valley. He is on the Board of Piedmont Natural Gas, Ingram Industries, Flynn International and FCA Ventures. He serves on the Board of Trustees and has been Chair/Vice Chair of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, the Nashville School of Law, the Music City Bowl, the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Meharry Medical College, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Easter Seals and the Boy Scouts of America. He is the National Treasurer of the Boy Scouts.
He is Chair Holder of the Jennings A. Jones Chair of Excellence in Free Enterprise at Middle Tennessee State University. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, Vanderbilt University School of Law, and was named 2002 Nashvillian of the Year.
